Moab 3-Day 4wd Training 101-200 – Monday April 26 – Wednesday April 28, 2021

Enjoy three days on Moab’s famous trails learning 4wd techniques in a variety of terrain and obstacle types. Learn the most commonly needed recovery procedures, all-important trail ethics, and critical safety and equipment preparation. Day one focuses on preparation and driving techniques in rocks, sand and desert canyons. Day two focuses on recovery training. Day three takes on some of Moab’s iconic red rock trails, to practice applying and building skills. Step up your general 4wd skills while taking in some of the most spectacular terrain on the planet!
Vehicle requirements: Jeep Wrangler or similarly capable rig with minimum 31″ tires, 4L, recovery points front and rear. Factory skid plates ok. Stock vehicles welcome.
Course requirements: Register in advance. Participants must be 18 or older. Work gloves, closed-toed shoes, No children or pets.
Course length: 7-8 hours per day.
Use your vehicle: $795 per vehicle
Use a Barlow Jeep: $1595
Jeep Rental Requirements
Drivers must be 25 years or older
Valid driver’s license
Credit card in same name as driver’s license
Proof of full coverage personal automobile insurance in same name as license (no commercial policies)
Any additional drivers also must provide a driver’s license and proof of full coverage automobile insurance in their name

Health and Safety Update 2021:
• All attendees must wear masks when operating less than 6-10 feet from each other, or indoors. Physical distancing, minimal shared contact, and attentive cleaning procedures in place.
• All attendees must be physically capable of walking on uneven ground, outdoors, up and down hills and rock steps, for hundreds of yards if necessary, and in widely varying temperatures at altitudes of 4000-8000 feet above sea level.
Meals: Bring your own lunch and snacks for trail each day.
Accommodations: None provided. Guests make their own hotel or camping arrangements around Moab.
Itinerary: 9 am to approximately 4 pm each day.
