Description: Learn how to develop leadership skills to be an effective trail guide. This is a hands-on, on-trail class to learn and practice trail guiding skills for your club or friends group.
Skills focus:
Setting expectations and defining the trip for the group
Dealing with vehicle breakdowns, recovery, and medical emergencies
Managing gunners and communication
Spotting at challenging obstacles - spotting signals
Vehicle requirements: 4x4 and 4x4 EVs are welcome. Must include working spare tire and recovery points front and rear. Factory skid plates ok. Factory skid plates are okay. No low-hanging side steps or roof-top tents.
Course Requirements: Prerequisite: 100 Explorers Course or previous experience. Register in advance. Participants must be 18 or older.
Course length: 6-7 hours
Use your vehicle: $450 per vehicle
Additional passenger: $95
